About this stone

A bronze-lustrous stone of focused action and protective grounding. Bronzite helps you regain control during chaotic situations, repels negativity, and promotes courtesy, harmony, and certainty in decision-making.

Geology · Formation

How it forms: Forms in mafic and ultramafic rocks.

Bronzite is an iron-rich mineral in the pyroxene group with a distinct, shimmering metallic luster. It forms in mafic and ultramafic igneous rocks (like peridotite and gabbro) deep in the crust. Iron and magnesium crystallize under high heat, with iron providing the 'bronze' shimmer. The Result: Opaque, brown stones with metallic-looking 'sub-metallic' flashes when light hits the surface.
