About this stone

A delicate white mineral forming fuzzy 'cotton ball' clusters. Okenite promotes self-forgiveness, truth, and karmic cleansing. It encourages completing unfinished tasks and supports the channeling of higher consciousness.

Geology · Formation

How it forms: Zeolite minerals in basalt cavities.

Okenite is a delicate zeolite mineral that looks more like a fluffy white cloud than a rock. It forms in the 'vesicles' (gas bubbles) of volcanic basalt rocks. Low-temperature hydrothermal fluids containing calcium and silicate deposits create the crystals. The Result: Delicate, radiating clusters of white, needle-like crystals that resemble cotton balls.
