How it forms: Lead impurities 'colored' by radiation.
Known as the 'Amazon Stone,' its color is a result of a rare chemical marriage. It is a variety of Microcline Feldspar found in granite and pegmatites. The presence of trace amounts of Lead (Pb) combined with the influence of natural radiation creates its stunning hue. The Result: A vibrant teal-to-green stone with white streaks (albite).
