About this stone
A lead carbonate forming intricate crystalline formations. Cerussite facilitates deep alchemical transformation, helps process past traumas, and promotes adaptability during major life changes. It enhances creativity and problem-solving abilities.
Geology · Formation
How it forms: Oxidation of galena (lead ore).
Cerussite is a heavy, lead carbonate mineral that often grows into complex, 'reticulated' lattice-like crystals. It forms in the 'oxidation zone' of lead-rich ore deposits, typically from the weathering of Galena. Carbonated surface water reacts with lead minerals in the presence of air. The Result: Transparent to translucent crystals that have an incredibly high 'adamantine' (diamond-like) luster.
