About this stone
Speckled with black spots of Tourmaline, Dalmatian Jasper encourages playfulness, lightheartedness, and childlike joy. It dispels cynicism, strengthens loyalty, and reminds you not to take life too seriously.
Geology · Formation
How it forms: Igneous rock with black arfvedsonite.
Despite its name, Dalmatian Jasper is actually an igneous rock composed of feldspar and quartz, not a traditional jasper. It forms from cooling magma in the Earth's crust. During the cooling process, specific dark minerals—usually Arfvedsonite—crystallize into distinct black 'spots' within a white-to-cream feldspar matrix. The Result: A stone that perfectly mimics the coat of a Dalmatian dog.
