How it forms: Plume inclusions that look like blooms.
Flower Agate is a recent discovery from Madagascar, famous for its soft, 'blooming' floral patterns. It forms as a variety of chalcedony in volcanic cavities. Opaque, white Plume inclusions grow within the translucent pinkish chalcedony. The Result: Patterns that look exactly like cherry blossoms or small flowers frozen in the stone.
