Unlike its dark, flashing cousin, Golden Labradorite (or Bytownite) focuses on transparency and pure solar energy. It forms in calcium-rich magmatic environments like basalt. High calcium and aluminum concentration during slow cooling results in transparent, straw-yellow to golden-brown crystals without the dark labradorescence.
